THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC president K Sudhakaran has responded to the arrest of former SFI leader K Vidya in the fake certificate case. Sudhakaran said that the police did not face this much difficulty in arresting the accused in the TP Chandrasekaran murder case during the UDF regime.

"The police took 16 days to arrest the SFI woman leader in the fake certificate case. The police did not face this much difficulty in arresting the accused in the TP Chandrasekaran murder case during the UDF regime. That is the difference between Pinarayo and Oommen Chandy," Sudhakaran said.

"The police, which facilitated the accused to destroy the evidence and go into hiding, also connived with the attempt to get anticipatory bail from the court. Vidya finally surrendered to the police as per the script prepared by the party as she had no other way. Those who helped Vidya to create fake certificates in the name of Maharaja's College and secure jobs as teachers in three colleges and who helped her to abscond should be brought before the law," Sudhakaran added.
