HYDERABAD: Police have arrested a 40-year-old woman for stabbing her ex-lover to death as revenge for her son's murder. The arrested person is Janbi, a native of Narasaraopet in Andhra Pradesh, was arrested.
The police also arrested Janbi's brother and two other accused in the case. The deceased has been identified as Sheikh Baji (36), Janbi's ex-lover and a gangster. Janbi and the other accused stabbed Baji to death after calling him to her house and giving him alcohol. They also tried to set Baji's body on fire after pouring petrol over it. The four accused surrendered to the police soon after the murder.
Janbi's elder son was killed by Sheikh Baji and his gang in August 2021 for objecting to his relationship with Janbi and questioning his regular visits to the house. With this, Janbi decided to kill Sheikh Baji. In December 2021, Janbi, her younger son and her brother had killed Kasim, who was part of the gang that killed her son.
Janbi devised the plan to kill Baji after getting released on bail in this case. Baji was hiding as he was afraid of Janbi. Janbi later obtained Baji's mobile number with the help of some friends and spoke to Baji as if she forgot the issue between them. She then called Baji to her house saying that they should live together.
Janbi and her gang killed Baji when Baji came to her house to attend her brother's birthday celebrations. Baji, who was under the influence of alcohol, was stabbed to death by the accused. They then surrendered at the nearby police station after setting Baji's body on fire. Sheikh Baji has a wife and three children.
