TORONTO: Prayers were done and fingers crossed as the world kept fixated on hearing some good news about the vanished submarine that went for mission Titanic. But, what waited was horrid, more or less. The US Coast Guard has said a debris field was discovered within the search area by a remotely operated vehicle near the Titanic wreck. The time period for the 96-hour-long oxygen support has also been exhausted; the submarine still remains untraceable.
It was Sunday when the Titan submarine went missing below the deep blues of the Atlantic, near Newfoundland in Canada. Immediately responding with rescue operations, a flock of navy ships and airforce teams from both Canada and the USA roamed around the waters trying all means to find out the submarine. Remote-controlled vehicles were also deployed in the North Atlantic Ocean to locate the vanished one with five passengers.
Victor 6000, the ingeniously made robot from France used for observation and manipulation at depths of up to 6000m is deployed in the Atlantic for the mission. Even if the robots help locate the submarine, it will be a herculean task to bring the passengers out of the vehicle; robots won't help in such work. The submarine can be connected with a vessel powerful enough to lift the vehicle to the surface of the water.
