NEW DELHI: Apart from defense cooperation, India and the US have signed agreements on cooperation in space exploration and relaxation of visa rules. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Narendra Modi agreed to expand bilateral cooperation for global peace and security.

In a major step in diplomatic ties, India and the US have agreed to ease H-1B visa procedures and open new consulates. With this, Indians can renew their visas without leaving the US. In addition to the five existing consulates, a new one will be opened in Seattle, US. New US consulates will be opened in Bangalore and Ahmedabad in India.

India will also participate in NASA's Artemis project, which aims to send a man to the moon by 2025. The project also aims to send people to planets including Mars in the future. The nations will cooperate to facilitate semiconductor supply chain. The two countries also agreed to ensure greater cooperation between the defense industries.
