THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: "The crime branch doesn’t have enough evidence to punish me in this financial fraud case", said KPCC president K Sudhakaran. The Congress leader was responding to the media after coming out of the crime branch office, right after getting bail. Sudhakaran retained hope in the judiciary and left it for the court to decide further decisions.

Sudhakaran was called into the crime branch office today for a questioning session. The procedure started at 11 am in the morning but continued till 7 pm in the evening. The crime branch made his arrest, right after the questioning session but was forced to release the congress leader on bail, conforming to the earlier high court order that stopped an arrest.

“ I have crossed all seas of trouble and have seen many things over the years. The jail tactics won't elicit fear in me.” Sudhakaran commented.

Sudhakaran is currently the second accused in the financial scam involving conman Monson Mavunkal. According to the secret testimony made by Monson’s driver, Sudhakaran received Rs 10 lakhs in money from Monson. Meanwhile, Sudhakaran has confirmed to the crime branch about visiting Monson's residence on that particular day.
