THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The All India Football Federation has finally given a yes nod for the Argentinian football team to visit India if Kerala decides to be the host. The Kerala football association should approach the AIFF with a formal request for the dream to turn into reality. Earlier, netizens and football aficionados attacked AIFF for rejecting a friendly match proposal from Argentina.
Meanwhile, Argentina favors not a match with India but prefers any other international team while on their short sojourn in the subcontinent. The Latin American team is a favorite in India especially in the southern turf of Kerala.AIFF went backfoot from the proposal earlier after discerning the difficulties in procuring Rs 40 crore as sponsorship for the event.
Meanwhile, Kerala Minister of Sports, V. Abdurahiman showed a willingness to conduct the event. The minister has already informed the same in a letter to Claudio Fabián "Chiqui" Tapia, executive and current President of the Argentine Football Association.
