BENGALURU: PDP chairman Abdul Nazer Mahdani will visit Kerala at last, ending months of uncertainty. The Bengaluru police have given Mahdani permission to go to Kerala. He will reach Kochi by air on Monday. Mahdani is coming to Kerala after a long time to visit his bedridden father and for his own treatment.
Mahdani, who is staying in Bengaluru in the Bangalore blast case, had approached the Supreme Court seeking relaxation in bail conditions to go to Kerala. Although the Supreme Court gave him permission to visit Kerala despite opposition from the Bengaluru Police, Mahdani's Kerala journey had got stalled due to reasons such as security reasons and high travel expenses. The road became clear for Mahdani's Kerala visit after the Commissioner's office permitted him to go to Kerala.
The Bengaluru police have given Mahdani permission for 12 days. Bengaluru Police will also accompany Mahdani throughout the journey.
