CAIRO: After a successful four-day visit to the US, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Egypt. Modi, who is on a two-day official visit, was received at the Cairo airport this evening under the leadership of Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.
An Indian Prime Minister is visiting Egypt after 26 years. Modi will hold talks with Madbouly and President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
PM addressed the Indian community after meeting dignitaries including Egyptian grand mufti Shawki Ibrahim Abdel-Karim Allam. Modi will visit the historic Al-Hakim Mosque and the Heliopolis War Memorial tomorrow. He will meet President el-Sisi and sign important agreements. Prime minister will return to India tomorrow evening.
