KOCHI: It is hinted that there are contradictions in the statements given by K Sudhakaran to the Crime Branch in the fake antiquities and financial fraud case. The Crime Branch has found that there is a discrepancy in the statements given by Sudhakaran at different times. The investigation team will meet tomorrow and decide on the further steps and the list of those to be interrogated.

The Crime Branch reiterated that there is strong evidence against K Sudhakaran. The main witness in the case is the person who testified that he saw Sudhakaran receiving the money at Monson's house. Crime Branch also got evidence that Monson had gone to Delhi with this witness.

Sudhakaran has been granted interim bail for two weeks. The Crime Branch is considering the matter of seeking custody of Sudhakaran after that. The Crime Branch has not been able to find Youth Congress leader Ebin Abraham who introduced Monson to K Sudhakaran and tried to influence the complainants. It is reported that he has been absconding for more than a week.

Ebin had earlier told the media that he did not try for a compromise and that K Sudhakaran had gone to Monson's house for treatment. The footage of Ebin Abraham meeting the complainants Anoop Muhammad from Thrissur and MT Shemir from Kozhikode had come out. The Crime Branch is saying that it is necessary to question Ebin.
