Taste Atlas, the celebrated online travel guide has made a list of hotels that everyone should at least try once in a lifetime. From the long list of the 150 most legendary hotels in the world, one prime restaurant from Kerala has made it into the elite list.
Seven restaurants from India were included in the list and grabbing the 11 position is Kozhikode’s own Paragon. The restaurant is now spreading its tasty tentacles all over the country and is slowly making its reach into unknown terrains. A maven in the domain of Malabari culinary, Paragon was established in 1939. Biriyani is the sought-after dish in this restaurant, that is laced with the culture of Kozhikode. This hotel has never skittered from its age-old nous of cooking to newer ways that most restaurants currently adopt. It is a culinary experience that is worth every penny and gets into people who are more into spices.
Peter Cat in Kolkata, Amrik Sukhdev Dhaba in Murthal, Mavali Tiffin Rooms in Bangalore, Karim’s in Delhi, and Ram Ashraya in Mumbai have been ranked 17th, 23rd, 39th, 87th, and 112th, respectively.
Figlmüller in Vienna, Austria, which ‘has earned its reputation by specializing in a single dish – the Schnitzel Wiener Art – for over a century’, is named the most legendary restaurant in the world.
