THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda will start the second phase of preparations in Kerala for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections on Monday.
The suggestions of the central leadership are being systematically implemented in the state by improving the organizational system along with preparations to reap the benefits of development activities. The next step is to start the state level work of fourteen programs name 'Vishala Janasabha'. A conference of booth presidents will be held in the Lok Sabha constituencies of each district. In this, four people including the president and general secretary from each booth will participate. The aim is to strengthen the basic elements and to make the people aware of how the achievements of the central government have been reflected in their respective districts. Powerful leaders and eminent persons of the district will participate.
An interaction program where there is a direct meeting with the beneficiaries of central projects, and Sampark Se Samarthan program under the leadership of central leaders will be conducted. As part of this, Nadda will visit the Atukal temple and will meet some prominent people.
There is a general perception that BJP's setback in the Karnataka assembly elections has took a hit on the party's morale in Kerala, but the leadership is of the view that it has not affected the party. The top ranks in the party think that the departure of a few prominent people from the party, including director Rajasenan, has not affected it in any way. Therefore, the decision is not to try to bring them back or devise strategies to overcome it.
RSS had withdrawn M Ganesh from the post of party organizational secretary and K Subhash has been appointed instead. K Subhash is currently working as the joint secretary of the organization. So this change will not cause a crisis in the organization. The party says that this will not affect the year-long preparations for the Lok Sabha elections.
JP Nadda will arrive after a tour of Telangana. There will also be an assessment of the party system.
Nadda will first visit the Chattambi Swamy memorial in Kannamoola at 10.30 am on Monday.
