KANNUR: CPM state secretary M V Govindan came forward again levelling allegations against KPCC chief K Sudhakaran. He sharply reacted to K Sudhakaran's warning of filing a defamation case.
Govindan alleged that K Sudhakaran's reluctance to refute Monson Mavunkal was due to the fear of revealing secrets about him. Govindan said that when asked why he did not say anything about Monson, serving 35 years of imprisonment and three life sentences, K Sudhakaran replied that if I say something, then he will also say something.
Monson's case is not a political case but a case of cheating and fraud. It will be faced politically. M V Govindan asked what kind of politics will be faced. What else is left for Monson to shout about? There is no doubt that the whole thing will come out. M V Govindan alleged these things while speaking at the NGO Union’s programme.
‘They said that a case will be filed against me and the Deshabhimani. Will face all the cases. Don’t scare us showing a palm leaf snake,’ he said.
He said that despite all this, the Congressmen should decide whether to allow K Sudhakaran to continue in his post, but V D Satheesan said that they will not abandon him. Govindan indicated that if Sudhakaran is abandoned now, tomorrow naturally the leader of the opposition will also have to be abandoned.
