KOCHI: Former SFI leader Visakh and Principal Shaiju blamed each other for Kattakkada Christian College Union election rigging. Principal Shaiju told the court that Visakh was deceiving him regarding the UUC position. However, Visakh argued that he had no role in the impersonation case. Both of them argued that there was no mistake on their part while the anticipatory bail application was being considered in the case.

Principal told the court that he had only nominated someone else after Anagha resigned as SFI's UUC candidate in the union elections and had not forged a document. Anagha's resignation was updated to those concerned. Shaiju's lawyer argued in the court that Visakh had misled him about his age. He also told the court that he had asked the university through an email to remove Visakh's name after the controversy.

However, the court questioned the statement that including Vishakh's name in place of the successful candidate was the only act done. The court pointed out that if the winning candidate resigns, re-election should be held. Shaiju replied to the court that it happened due to a lack of knowledge and there were no bad intentions. The court also asked how many years of experience Shaiju has as a principal. The reply given to the court was that he had worked as a professor for 20 years and was qualified to become a principal. At the same time, the court also observed that the documents produced by both should be examined in detail.
