THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Widespread rain is predicted in the state for the next five days. A low-pressure area is prevailing from south Gujarat coast to Kerala coast. In this situation, the central meteorological center has informed that there is a possibility of very heavy rain in isolated places and heavy rain up to 30 degrees.

A depression formed in northwest Bay of Bengal near North Odisha - West Bengal coast is currently prevailing over North Chhattisgarh. It is likely to move towards North Madhya Pradesh during the next two days, moving in a west-northwest direction.

The central meteorological department has informed that strong winds and bad weather conditions with a speed of 40 to 45 km per hour and at some occasions up to 55 km per hour are likely over Kerala-Karnataka coasts and Lakshadweep till June 30.
