NEW DELHI: Opposition leader V D Satheesan asked Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan to resign from the post of home minister and conduct an inquiry on the revelations of former editorial committee member of Deshabhimani. Is there still an interest in filing a case against KPCC chief K Sudhakaran. There should be no double standards, he said.
‘There was a revelation that shocked the whole of Kerala. The disclosure was not of a simple person. G Shakthidharan, who was a member of Desabhimani's editorial committee, levelled serious allegations against the chief minister. He said that when he was the party secretary at the Desabhimani office in Kalur, the money collected from various people was tied in a mat and taken to Thiruvananthapuram in a car. Also revealed that there was one more member of Pinarayi's cabinet in the car. Not a small amount of money was carried in the mat. Rs two crore thirty-five lakh were carried. The figure of another 20 lakhs accepted in Thiruvananthapuram has also been released. Where did this money go? Who gave this money? This should be investigated. He asked the chief minister whether he has the courage to investigate it,’
