THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Heavy rainfall has been predicted in the eastern regions of Kerala, with all districts except Idukki on yellow alert. Idukki is on orange alert.
Earlier, there was a warning about the possibility of widespread rain in the state for the next five days. A low-pressure area is prevailing from south Gujarat coast to the Kerala coast. As per the Indian Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of very heavy rain in isolated places and heavy rain up to 30 degrees. A depression formed in the northwest Bay of Bengal near North Odisha - West Bengal coast is currently prevailing over North Chhattisgarh.
In the next two days, there is a possibility that it will move in the west-northwest direction and towards North Madhya Pradesh. With this, there is a possibility of heavy rain at isolated places on June 27, 30 and July 1, according to IMD.
