KOLLAM: A soldier has been arrested in connection with the suicide of Vrinda Raj, a native of Kottathala in Kollam and a MA Psychology student. The Kottarakkara police arrested her lover Anu Krishnan of Kottathala. Vrinda Raj committed suicide by consuming rat poison on June 23rd.

She committed suicide after Anu Krishnan withdrew from their relationship of six years. His marriage with another girl was fixed last week. The case is that when she asked him about this, he insulted her by hurling abuses via WhatsApp and incited her to commit suicide. Vrinda had mentioned this in her suicide note and diary. His arrest was registered after summoning him to the police station and examining his mobile phone.
