KANNUR: A three-year-old died in Kannur in yet another shocking case as the state fiercely battles a fever wave. Kannur Mathamangalam native Aswa Amina (3) died after remaining in treatment for two weeks. Aswa was initially taken to a private hospital in Kannur but got relocated to Pariyaram medical college after her condition worsened.
The fever rate is burgeoning in Kerala duly concerning authorities. In the last week, 5102 people reached hospitals for treatment. These are counts of patients reaching government hospitals alone. If considering the number of patients reaching private hospitals, the numbers can turn surprisingly high. More than a hundred people are reaching government hospitals in Kannur with fever and dengue. However, most fever cases were reported from Malappuram.
