NEW DELHI: Karnataka police filed a case against BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya for his disparaging tweets against congress leader Rahul Gandhi. The High Grounds police station registered the case after receiving a complaint from Ramesh Babu, KPCC communications co-chairman.

Amit Malviya shared an animation video on Twitter titled ‘Raga ek Mohra’. The video placed Rahul Gandhi in poor light; as a devious man with intentions of separating the country into factions. Ramesh Babu, a former MLA reached the police station saying the video was politically motivated that spewed utter nonsense.

Tejasvi Surya of the BJP retorted back saying the case was politically motivated. Many are now criticizing the Congress government for adopting a BJP-like game plan of incarcerating people over tweets and videos.
