THIRUVALLA: The Thiruvalla police arrested a women’s gang wanted in several theft cases in the state. The natives of Tamil Nadu were arrested in an investigation focusing on the CCTV visuals. They used to steal regularly from buses and hospitals.

A woman of Thiruvanvandoor lost her purse containing Rs 30,000 and ATM cards from a private medical college in Thiruvalla. The police found that the theft had taken place after examining the CCTV visuals. Durgalakshmi, Vasanthi and Ponnatha were arrested following an investigation. They were caught from near a deserted building at YMCA Junction. They engage in theft in crowded places. There are more than thirty cases in their names in various stations of the state.

The police had been trying to nab the team for a long time. They dress decently and engage in theft. The gang had expensive mobile phones with them when arrested.
