NEW DELHI: Bhim Army chief Chandrashekhar Azad Ravan, who survived a murder attempt, is undergoing treatment at the district hospital in Saharanpur. The doctors said that Azad's health condition is satisfactory. Azad is currently under observation in the ICU. Doctors informed that Azad will be discharged today if there are no other health problems.
The incident happened last evening around 5:15 pm. Chandrashekhar Azad, who was traveling in a car in Uttar Pradesh's Saharanpur, was shot at by a group. Azad escaped with a bullet injury. The incident happened when he was going to Saharanpur in a car with five people including his younger brother. The group arrived in a Haryana registration car and opened fire.
The police are trying to trace the number of the car carrying the attackers. Two bullets pierced the car in the attack. The first bullet entered the seat of the vehicle, grazing his waist as it passed through the door and the second bullet hit the back door. His injuries are not serious.
The police will provide security to Azad following the attack. Meanwhile, Bhim Army has decided to organize protests against the incident.
