NEW DELHI: Senior BJP leaders convened a midnight meeting at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's residence to strategize for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President J P Nadda and others attended the meeting. The meeting was held soon after Modi returned from his visit to the US and Egypt.

According to close sources, in the presence of the Prime Minister, the discussions regarding the reorganization took place in a meeting that lasted for five hours. However, the party has not released an official statement in this regard. Amit Shah, JP Nadda, BJP General Secretary B L Santhosh and others held a meeting at Modi's residence last night while holding organizational and political marathon discussions.

After suffering a heavy setback in the Karnataka assembly elections, the BJP is moving to focus more on the upcoming elections in four important states. The states of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana and Chhattisgarh will be facing the polls. The BJP is in power only in Madhya Pradesh.

On the occasion of the ninth anniversary of the Modi government, a month-long mass connect programme were conducted under the leadership of union ministers and senior organization leaders. It was aimed at increasing support for the Lok Sabha elections. There were reports that the BJP is all set for a major reshuffle in the cabinet ahead of the elections. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has stated that a single civil code is necessary and discussions are active that it is aimed at winning the elections. The Prime Minister clarified that the country should not proceed with two laws and that the single civil code is part of the constitution.
