NEW DELHI: It is hinted that Suresh Gopi is likely to be inducted in the union cabinet. It has been hinted that Suresh Gopi will be included as the second minister from Kerala where it is certain that there will be a major reshuffle of the union cabinet. Suresh Gopi's inclusion in the cabinet is expected to give more influence to the party in Kerala.
Suresh Gopi contested from Thrissur in Lok Sabha elections in 2019 and assembly elections in 2021. There are also reports that Metroman E Sreedharan will also be inducted.

Senior BJP leaders had convened a late-night meet at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's residence to strategize for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President J P Nadda and others attended the meeting. There were reports earlier that the BJP is for a major reshuffle in the cabinet ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. It is reported that matter was also discussed in the meeting. A larger union cabinet meet will be convened on Monday evening. Reports said that there will be a clear understanding on the reshuffle at this meet. It is heard that there will be a change including in the portfolio of Nitin Gadkari.


Meanwhile, Union Minister V Muraleedharan is likely to contest from Attingal in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. BJP had a clear increase in this constituency in the last two elections. BJP is trying to make this a success. Attingal is one of the constituencies where the party is hoping for a victory in Kerala. The party's hope is to capture the constituency.
