ALAPPUZHA: After the arrest of former SFI leader Nikhil Thomas, many such CPM leaders of Kayamkulam are experiencing sleepless nights. Rebel CPM FB pages are targeting them with one or more accusations regarding fraud. However, many such leaders have approached the police but the cyber attack is not quelling down. Minding the ruthless takedown on social media, area secretary Aravindhakshan will soon meet Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan to apprise him about the situation.

'Chembada Kayamkulam' and 'Kayamkulam Viplavam' are two such pages that are directing tirades at CPM leaders. According to the group, area secretary Aravindhakshan took Rs 5.5 lakh bribe from a spirit dealer from Cherthala. Earlier during the district secretariat, M V Govindan quashed the accusations against Aravindhakshan and it was all plain sailing for the area secretary until the Facebook pages reignited the already shrouded reports.

Aravindhakshan is currently undergoing treatment at Amrita Hospital, Kochi. The SIM used by the group showed a Pakistan IP address which put the police in a fix. The area secretary will seek the Chief minister's time to discuss the cyber attacks targeting him and other CPM leaders in Kayamkulam.
