THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Governor Arif Mohammed Khan will not back down from the action of withdrawing favor to Finance Minister K N Balagopal. While talking to the media, he said favor has been withdrawn doesn’t mean expulsion.
The Governor said the shortage of teachers in many departments in Kerala universities and MG universities is a cause of concern. The governor also mocked the excellence of the universities. He added that ratings can be gained. The governor's criticism came when media persons pointed the ranking of Maharaja's College and A++ for Kerala University.
Higher Education Minister R Bindu responded that such a criticism from the side of the Governor is at a time when the universities of Kerala are performing brilliantly in national and international activities. The minister said that she does not understand why he is saying like that.
