KOLLAM: A woman who is also a student of TTC was seriously injured in the explosion of bomb used to kill wild boars. Her left hand was severed and it is reported that he has lost sight in one eye. When Raji went to the water tank under her house to fetch water, she saw a ball-shaped object lying there and brought it home. Raji tried to cut it with a knife when her mother said it was wild yam. With this, the bomb exploded with great force. Her left palm was shattered by the force of the explosion. In addition to loss of vision in one eye, other body parts are also injured. Her hair is also burnt.

Neighbors on hearing the scream rushed Raji to Kadakkal Taluk Hospital, but later shifted her to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital for specialist treatment. Raji is reportedly still in critical condition. Forensic experts and police reached the spot and conducted an investigation. It is not clear who left the bomb at the spot.
