Bollywood star Neena Gupta had a celebrated life. A glittering life in Bollywood; marriage to cricket maven Viv Richards; later fading away from movies to couch in the comfort of personal life. The actress Neena Gupta is more than what meets the eye. She is currently back on the silver screen through R Balki-directed short 'Lust Stories'.

In 1993, Neena Gupta acted in the Dillagi serial, which was seeing a big increase in its viewership. In a crucial episode, the director asked her to do a liplock seen with actor Dilip Dhawan. It was unprecedented in Indian television history. “ Dilip was handsome, but I didn’t know him. I had to commit to the role so I never budged away from doing the scene. It was tough but we did it. After the director called cut, I rushed to the restroom and cleaned my mouth with Dettol. I was that naïve back then” Neena Gupta remembered.

Indian tv serials of the 90s were sought after by not just elders but all. The high numbers of family viewership for the show made the makers not telecast the intimate scene.
