THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The central meteorological department has informed that there is a possibility of light rain at isolated places in Kerala in the next three hours. Yellow alert has been declared in Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod. A yellow alert has been issued in Pathanamthitta,
Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Wayanad tomorrow and on July 4 at Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Thrissur and Palakkad. Yellow alert has been issued in Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur and Malappuram on July 5.
An orange alert has also been sounded in Kannur and Kasaragod tomorrow and Ernakulam, Idukki, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod on July 4.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Research Center has informed that high waves of 2.5 to 2.9 meters is likely to occur along the Kerala coast (from Vizhinjam to Kasaragod) till 11.30 pm today.
