CHENNAI: The producers are planning to take action against the leading actors of the Tamil film industry. Complaints were raised that some actors are not giving call sheet after accepting advance. A decision was taken in the general meeting of the Tamil Film Producers Council on June 18 to take action on other complaints including this. The action was following this.
The producers’ council and Nadikar Sangham held discussions regarding this. Chimbu, Vishal, Vijay Sethupathi, S J Surya, Atharva and Yogibabu are the actors mentioned in the complaint. Murali Ramaswamy, head of Shree Thenandal Studios, has alleged that actor Dhanush walked out of the film he is directing. Ramaswamy requested the council to force Dhanush to work in other films only after completing his film. Action is being taken against 14 actors in various complaints.
It is alleged that actresses Amala Paul and Lakshmi Rai hired 10 body guards and accepted more money from the producers for their expenses. Sources close to the producers said strict action will be taken against these actors and the information regarding this will be released officially next week.
