KOLLAM: The police have found that the DYFI Madathara local committee member, Semi Khan had produced a fake mark list of NEET two times. In addition to the fake mark list of NEET 2022 which was presented along with the petition filed in the High Court, the Chithara police also found the fake mark list of 2021 from Semi Khan's phone.
Semi Khan appeared for the NEET exam for the first time in the year 2020-21 in which he secured 18 marks. Instead, a fake mark list containing 321 marks was created. It is concluded that it has not been presented anywhere. After going for coaching in a private institute for a year, Semi Khan appeared for the exam for the second time in 2022 in which he secured 24 marks. Instead, a fake mark list of 468 marks was created. Semi Khan approached the High Court claiming that he was not considered for counselling despite his high score and sought intervention.
While considering the plea, the counsel for the National Testing Agency demanded a scientific test. The High Court made Kollam Rural SP an opposite party and ordered an investigation. The Chitara Police took Semikhan into custody. During the investigation, it was confirmed that the mark list was forged. Semi Khan has not admitted this in the cross-examination. As stated in the petition, Semi Khan is sticking to the argument that the mark list was downloaded from the National Testing Agency's portal at Akshaya Kendra. It was found that the fake mark list prepared on the phone was sent to Akshaya Kendra's WhatsApp and printed. Semi Khan's mobile phone will be sent for a detailed examination soon.
