KOZHIKODE: The Muslim Coordination Committee has stated that religious and communal polarization should not be attempted in the name of uniform civil code. Sadiq Ali Shihab Thangal, state president of the Muslim League, said in a press conference held after the meeting of the Muslim Coordination Committee held in Kozhikode that it is not an issue to be confronted on the streets.
The uniform civil code is also part of the BJP's polarization of religion. It will be tackled legally and politically and the society will be made aware. As per the decision of the core committee formed in the meeting, model seminar will be organized the next day in Kozhikode. Thangal also said that such seminars will be held in important parts of the state and the country. PK Kunhalikutty responded that he was not aware of the seminar conducted by CPM. Kunhalikutty said that Congress is also taking a favorable stance on the issue.
