KANNUR: The Motor Vehicle Department Enforcement Office at Mattannur stopped functioning after the electricity connection was disconnected. As the disconnected power connection was not restored for the fifth day, the issue of notices for violations detected by the AI camera and charging of MVD's vehicles are in crisis.

The power connection at the enforcement office of the Motor Vehicle Department in Mattannur was disconnected on July 1st due to non-payment of bill. The office is in darkness after the KSEB staff arrived and removed the fuse. The RTO's electric vehicles are lying in the shed as they cannot be charged.

Although AI camera surveillance is effective, it is not even possible to prepare a notice to pay the fine to the law violators. The fuse of the office was removed due to the non-payment of the bill amounting to Rs 52,820 for the months of April and May. The motor vehicle department has to pay the electric charge for the months of April and May. The last date for bill payment was June 27. The KSEB removed the fuse of the office of the Motor Vehicle Department on the third day after the date.
