The Indian squad for the T20 series against the West Indies has been announced. Malayali player Sanju Samson has found a place in the T20 team. Hardik Pandya will lead the T20 once again while captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have been rested. Suryakumar Yadav is the vice-captain. The selection was conducted by the selection committee headed by Ajit Agarkar.

Young players like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Tilak Varma and Mukesh Kumar who played well in IPL are also part of the T20 team. Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan have retained their place in the team. Although Jitesh Sharma was expected to be included in the T20 team along with wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan, the selectors decided to give one more chance to Sanju Samson.
