THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: IRCTC regional officials announced in a press conference that pilgrimage train services will be run from Kerala to Ujjain, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Kashi, Ayodhya and Allahabad in North India. The journey starts from Kochuveli on July 20 and will return on July 31st.
The itinerary includes pilgrimage and heritage sites like Mahakaleshwar Temple in Madhya Pradesh, Omkareshwar Temple, Temples in Haridwar, Rishikesh, Ramjhula, Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Uttar Pradesh, Visalakshi Temple, Kalabhairava Temple, Sarnath, Ram Temple in Ayodhya and Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj (Allahabad).
754 passengers can travel in AC 3 tier and sleeper class. Trains can be boarded from Kochuveli, Kollam, Kottayam, Ernakulamtown, Thrissur, Ottapalam, Palakkad Junction, Podannur Junction, Erode Junction and Salem. Travel in AC / Non-AC vehicles, AC room, vegetarian meals and travel insurance are available. The fare is Rs 24,350 per person for non-AC and Rs 36,340 for third AC.
