KOZHIKODE: The police attacked the driver of a vehicle carrying fish for not giving side to the car carrying Minister Ahamed Devarkovil. Muhammed Sadif of Chelari was attacked brutally. The police later arrested him who sought treatment at Beach Hospital. The locals protested against the action of the police.

However, the police informed that Sadif was arrested for driving in such a way as to endanger the minister's vehicle and for hurling abuses at the security personnel. The incident happened near the Kozhikode South Beach yesterday morning. The police said that Sadif, who created an obstacle in front of the minister's vehicle for a long time, was warned by those in the pilot vehicle, but he abused them and again drove the vehicle in such a way as to endanger the minister's vehicle. However, the minister's office said that some are running fake campaigns to misuse the incident politically. The fish vehicle was going to Parappanangadi from Chombala to Parappanangadi.
