KOLLAM: The arrested DYFI leader Sami Khan, of Khan Manzil in Madathara, yesterday confessed everything to the investigation team in the connection with fake NEET mark list case. He revealed that the fake mark list was made using a mobile app so as not to disappoint the family members.
The revelation:
The wish of my family was to enroll me in medicine. I wrote NEET in 2021 but got only 18 marks. I didn't feel like revealing it at home. I kept the result hidden for two days saying that it was an internet problem. A fake mark list of 321 marks was created using editing app on mobile. Believing that I did not get medical admission despite having so many marks, the family enrolled him for an entrance coaching in a private institution. I got only 24 marks in NEET 2022 exam. I made a fake mark list of 468 marks so as to not worry my family members. I took a printout of the same. I made my family believe that I will get admission in the medical college this time as people with up to 468 marks will likely get admission at govt colleges.
He registered for counselling to make his family believe. With this, the family decided to approach the court. The lawyer became suspicious ans asked about the same but did not reveal he truth even after asking him several times. Fake mark list handed over for production in court. Even when asked by the court, he repeated the lie that he got it from NEET's portal. Meanwhile, she joined nursing in Bengaluru. Later it became impossible to withdraw the case.
