KOCHI: A man has been arrested for sexually abusing a 17-year-old by posing as an Inspector of the Motor Vehicle Department (MVD). The arrested person is Malappuram Vaniyambalam native Muhammad Lukman (37). He was arrested by the police team under Ernakulam North Principal SI.

Lukman had developed friendship with the 17-year-old, who came to Kochi for studies, and offered him a part-time job. He abducted the boy from Palarivattom on the night of July 2 and subjected him to unnatural sex. The police have found that Lukman had also sexually abused two friends of the boy similarly. One of them is a minor.
