BILASPUR: Three people were killed and six injured as a bus carrying people who were going to attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally in Raipur met with an accident near Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh. The bus rammed into the back of a parked truck. The accident happened when the bus was travelling from Raipur to Ambikapur with forty people.
Bilaspur Superintendent of Police Santosh Singh said that due to heavy rain, the bus driver did not see the truck parked near the road and rammed into it. Three people died in the accident. Six people were injured. 'The condition of BJP leaders Lilu Gupta and Vishwambhar Yadav is critical. They have been shifted to a private hospital. The remaining four injured individuals are undergoing treatment at CIMS Hospital in Bilaspur.'- he added
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel announced that a compensation of Rs 4 lakh will be given to the families of each person who died in the accident. "The government will provide the best treatment to those injured in the accident. We will all be with their families during this crisis," he tweeted.
