THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The intensity of the rain lashing the state for the past few days has come down. There is no warning for heavy rain in any district today. Yellow alert has been sounded in Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod. The central meteorological department said that there will be heavy or very heavy rain at isolated places. So far 7,380 people have been relocated in 203 camps.

High wave warning
The National Centre for Oceanographic Studies (INCOIS) has informed that there is a possibility of high waves and coastal erosion of 3.5 to 3.8 meters along the coast of Kerala (Vizhinjam to Kasaragod) till 09.07.2023 at 11.30 pm and the speed is likely to vary between 55 cm and 74 cm per second.

National Centre for Oceanographic Studies (INCOIS) has informed that there is a possibility of high waves coastal erosin of 2.5 to 2.9 meters in height up to 08.07.2023 up to 08.07.2023 11.30 pm along South Tamil Nadu coast (Kolachal to Kilakarai) with speed varying between 58 cm and 82 cm per second.
