KOCHI: More than five thousand judgments of the Kerala High Court and District Courts have been translated into Malayalam with the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI). G Gopakumar, Registrar of Computerization at the High Court informed that these are available on the website of the courts. The project was started by translating two judgments of the High Court into Malayalam on February 21, Mother Language Day. 317 judgments of the High Court and 5186 judgments of the District Courts have already been rendered in Malayalam. The Malayalam versions of the judgments are published after scrutiny by a committee headed by High Court judges Justice Raja Vijayaraghavan and Justice Dr Kauser Edappagath. The judgments are translated using the AI tool 'Anuvadini' prepared by AICTE under the Union Ministry of Education. The judgments translated into Malayalam will be made available to various government departments and litigants through the Kerala State Legal Services Authority.
