THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BEVCO has asked for explanations from outlet managers after the corporation encountered loss in the current season. As per a local media report, BEVCO put the blame on the outlet managers' languid approach to work for the daily collection plunging to less than Rs 6 lakhs in most outlets.

Outlets even within the Chalakudy warehouse have recorded losses during the season with numbers falling abysmally low. Minding the condition, BEVCO decided to ask explanation from 30 managers across Kerala. The managers are expected to respond with a detailed explanation within five days' time.

The Vilakkupara outlet under the Kottarakkara warehouse recorded the lowest collection report across the state. According to reports, only Rs 3.38 lakh worth of liquor is getting sold daily from this outlet.
