Big Boss winner Akhil Marar has now opened up about attending RSS Shakha in his native town of Kottaarakkara. Marar was sharing the anecdote while talking with an online media portal.

AKHIL MARAR:

My hometown is a communist bastion. During my school years, communist leaders used to barge into classrooms to give big monologues that were confounding and beyond the comprehensive level of children. BJP and Congress never used to do that, so it was more like a turbulent start between me and the communists from childhood times.

Some years later, RSS conducted a big event in my town. My friend was assigned to draw a big portrait of Lord Shri Ram. When some RSS leaders came to check out the drawing, what attracted their eyes was the Christian Prayers beads worn by my friend. One leader from Sangh charged at him and forcibly took the pendant and talked with the rancor asking him why is he remaining a Hindu. I was hurt by the attitude and it was at this instant that I decided to leave the organization.

However, I am not saying all sangh leaders adopt the same heart. I used to visit Shakha for the games they played. Kabaddi was a routine and being a sportsperson, this coerced me to join them. But I can vouch for the fact that no RSS leaders abused or denigrated any other religion inside the Shakha. They had etiquette.
