THRISSUR: Tremors were heard below the surface of the earth from certain parts of Thrissur. Amballur and Varandarappilly were the two towns that witnessed the trembling sounds from the ground. According to locals, the sound stayed for more than 2 secs. It is for the third time in a week that such tremors are heard in Thrissur.

The district authorities earlier conducted a study into the issue with the help of archaeological experts. The expert team denied any scare of earthquakes. One month before, places in Kottayam district also went through the same quake-like trembling from beneath the earth's crust. The locals are however alarmed by the happening.
