KOLLAM: A youth was arrested for growing cannabis on the terrace of his house. Anandu Ravi (19) a native of Eravipuram was arrested by the Excise Enforcement and Narcotics Special Squad.
The cannabis plant grown in an earthen pot has a growth period of about two months. According to reports, Anandu told Excise that he uses ganja regularly and that he grew the plant to use when supply was not available.
Excise Assistant V Robert said that they had received information that youths were using ganja at Anandu's house at night and they are also under investigation. The suspect was arrested by a team of Excise Enforcement and Anti-Narcotics Special Squad. Circle Inspector Tony Jose, Preventive Officer Prasad Kumar, Civil Excise Officers Srinath, Anish, Gopakumar, Suraj, Ajeesh Babu and Women Civil Excise Officers Sneha Sabu, Varsha and Vivek were part of the team.
