SHIMLA: Himachal Pradesh continues to experience heavy rains, causing widespread destruction. There are reports that more than fifty Malayalees, including medical students from Kochi, are stuck in various places. The authorities informed that all the students are safe and will be brought to Delhi once the traffic is restored.
According to reports at least nineteen people have died in the last three days as heavy rains continue in many parts of North India. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning that heavy rains will continue in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Delhi and adjoining areas in the next two days.
Landslides and floods occurred in Himachal Pradesh due to incessant rains. Houses and buildings were damaged. As all major rivers are overflowing, places including Manali and Kullu are flooded. Vehicles and buildings were washed away. An unsettling video of this has also surfaced.

As per records, Delhi is experiencing the heaviest rain in the last forty years. Landslides and floods were also reported in Uttarakhand. Water levels in rivers and streams have risen dangerously.
