THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader V D Satheesan said the UDF will strike against the corruption of the government from ration shop to the secretariat. The campaign is organized from September 4 to 11, he said while speaking to the media in Thiruvananthapuram after the UDF meeting.
‘All agricultural sectors including rubber are heading for a major downfall. It is not possible to enter a road in Kerala, said to be God's own country, due to stray dog menace. No proposal was forwarded to the local self-government department in this regard. Higher education institutions are collapsing miserably with fake certificates, fake courses and fake PhDs. Even the children who got full A plus are struggling without getting admission for plus one. Civil Supplies Corporation is on the verge of closure. They have a debt of Rs 3500 crore. The same situation faced by the KSRTC will happen to SUPLYCO also,’ said Satheesan.
‘The construction workers welfare fund board is collapsing. The government is not ready to provide any benefits for more than a year. Supply of ration stopped. The government did not intervene in the steep price hike. So, the UDF have decided to organize the strike from the ration shop to the secretariat. The UDF will organize campaigns against the corruption of this government at all panchayat and corporation level from September 4-11. 25000 volunteers will participate in this,’ added the opposition leader.
