BHOPAL: In yet another shocking move, the Brahmin Samaj in MP decided to fundraise money to rebuild the house of the accused one who urinated on a tribal.
Pravesh Shukla was arrested by the police for his inhumane act that saw him urinating on the face of a mentally suffering mendicant in the street. Amidst the fume of protest, the MP govt under Shivraj Singh Chowhan decided to raze down Shukla's house in Kubri village. However now, Shukla’s wife Kanchan came out saying it was her grandmother who built the house, and it was not in the name of her husband.
In social media, the bank account details of Ramakant Shukla, Pravesh’s father is circulating. A terse writing also followed about how the samaj is planning to build back the house. The community is agitated over the sudden haste by which the government decided to pull down a house that sheltered Pravesh’s wife and three-year-old child. They view the government's move as a desperate attempt to win critics.
“ What the accused did is inhumane, but why should the family suffer? We have transferred Rs 51,000 to the family and will extend all support to bring back the house to the exact location.” a Samaj leader said.
Meanwhile, Pravesh father Ramakant responded to the media about the issue. He welcomed any legal action against his son for the misdeed but apprised the media about the condition the family is going through. “ For the first two days, under the rain, we were homeless and the neighbors gave us food,” Ramakant said.
