CHENNAI: On his way back from the meeting of his fans association Vijay Makkal Iyakam (VMI), actor Vijay violated traffic signals to avoid fans on the road. On his way home from Panaiyur to Neelangarai, Vijay violated at least two signals and reached home.
Then the actor was fined Rs.500. It is reported that the actor paid the fine immediately.
In a meeting at his home with Vijay Makkal Iyakum district officials, there was a popular demand for Vijay to enter politics.
Officials of fan organizations in all 234 constituencies demanded the same. But the actor informed his fans that there will be a political entry at an appropriate time. There are strong indications that Vijay's party will contest the 2026 elections and that the actor will take a break from films after his film directed by Venkat Prabhu.
Vijay's upcoming film is the much-anticipated 'Leo', directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
