THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: India's third lunar mission will be launched tomorrow at 2.35 pm. The launch is at Sriharikota. It will be launched on a GSLV Mark III (LVM 3) heavy-lift launch vehicle. Chandrayaan's rover is expected to land on the moon on the morning of August 24.

Mission Readiness Review will be held today to make sure everything is in order. After that, the Launch Authorization Board, including the ISRO chairman and scientists, will give permission for the launch. The countdown will start at 2.35 pm. The lander's soft landing will take place at the South Pole this time as well.

Chandrayaan-3 mission will demonstrate safe and soft landing on the lunar surface, rover roving on the moon and conduct in-situ scientific experiments. Upon landing, it will operate for one lunar day, which is approximately 14 earth days.
