THRISSUR: A school student died after fatally hit by a school bus at Velur in the district at 4 pm last evening. She has been identified as Diya, daughter of Rajan of Panikkaveettil of Velur near Maithri library. She was a second class student of OIET Public School in Thalakkottukara.

The accident happened in front of her house. She had got down from the bus and was crossing the road. The driver without noticing the girl crossing the road, started the bus. Though she was rushed to a hospital, her life could not be saved.
